LOST IN A DREAM

You can touch me if you like, she whispered,
As she smiled and emerged from the sea.
You can have me, she said, if you want me,
And seductively leaned her body my way.

But I did not understand,
With my heart pounding hard,
So her words flew away in the wind.

Did I hear what she said?
Was I imagining this?
Did she want me to touch her and love her?
Was she really next to me?
Was I really awake?
Or was I, lost again in a dream?

But from sun and from sea,
Sparks of light never seen,
To the edges of heaven had brought me.
Countless fountains and springs,
Endless image of joy,
But again, I was lost deep in dream.

----
She was spring, she was song,
She was soft, she was warm,
She was wind, she was life,
She was promise of love in December.

She was young, she was soft,
She was bright, she was wind,
she was sweet, she was song,
She was ray of hope in December.

She was young, she was soft,
She was sweet, she was song,
She was promise of love in December.
-----

Breathless in my dream I wandered,
As my spirit rose from shadows,
Gloomy days now forgotten,
As sweet music welled, engulfed me
Hope of sunshine, in cold of winter.
Reaching out to touch the stars.

Drowned in her fragrant reign,
Climbing yet to higher heights
Breaths of songs within me rising,
Joy rushing into my soul........

With my trembling hands I touched her,
Stroke her hair, her hands, her forehead,
And my mind went blank with passion,
As again I was lost deep in dream.

----

She was spring, she was song,
She was wind, she was warm,

she was light, She was soft,
She was heaven on earth in December.

----

For a moment, she was infinitely mine,
For a moment I prayed for a tighter clasp,
For the dream not to end,

for the hope not to fade,
For the night not to end,

for the roar not to stop,
For the dream not to fly,

for the vision to stay,

................

But my heartbeats were loud
And they drowned all the sounds
And again I was lost deep in dream.

................

...............

Such perfection in dream, such seduction in dream,
Never wandered my way in December.
Out of time, out of space,
Content, happy was I
For the briefest of moments remembered.

------

She was spring, she was song,
She was soft, she was warm,
She was promise of love in December.

She was young, she was song
she was sweet , She was bright
She was ray of hope in December.

-------------------------

I was dizzily immersed in my passion,
Drowned in thoughts that could no longer be,
I was merrily engrossed in my passion,

With emotions too hard to resist,
And was Fourth of July in December

...............

I was deep in this dream
I was drowned in this dream,
In the fiery skies above me,

I was lost in this dream,

In reflections of moon on the sea,

I was lost in this wonderful dream.

............

She was spring, she was song,
She was soft, she was warm,
She was promise of love in December

I was good, I was bad,
I was cold, I was hot,
I was sane, I was mad,
I was young, I was old,
I was weak, I was strong,
I was scared, I was bold,
And incredibly sad, when she left me.

...............

In the shadows of evening remaining,

And shipwrecked on the cliffs,

Half awake half asleep - but still dreaming,

Still I cling to her sight with my heart beating loud,
As I gaze without hope towards the sky,

In the deadliest cold of my winter,
and the remnants of old life still remaining,

Still I reach for the stars,
Still I wonder......

Will I see her again?
Will I hold her again?
Will she come back to me next December?

-----------
She was life, she was hope,
She was young, she was soft,
She was sweet, she was song,
She was promise of love in December.
------------
YOU CAN TOUCH ME, IF YOU LIKE, SHE WHISPERED,
AND I' M HOPELESSLY LOST IN THIS DREAM
